We hope that investment in education will drive future economic growth through innovation and productivity. Isn't it ironic that the education sector itself has a poor record of innovation and productivity growth?

How many of the people working on health insurance reform don't have coverage or pay for their own? So how motivated are they to fix the system?
Tax problems
Geithner's and Daschle's confirmation tax problems must mean that either Obama's picks are particularly prone to tax underpayment, or that underpayment is widespread among prominent current and former public servants. Either way, isn't this a big deal?
